Extreme sports athletes Travis Pastrana of Nitro Circus fame, BMXer Mat Hoffman and 2010 AMA Lites National MX Champion Trey Canard spent most of the evening on Friday at our Oklahoma City track. Congrats to Pole Position Raceway's own Kurt Busch who became one of 12 drivers to make it into the NASCAR Chase. Busch, the 2004 series champion, will be going for his second title in the Miller Lite Dodge. Beginning in 2011, Busch will be driving the #22 Shell Dodge for Penske Racing. The seven-time AMA Supercross Champion added another major accomplishment to his resume on August 14 by winning the Pro2 truck main event in Michigan during the Traxxis CORR Series. You make all of us at Pole Position Raceway proud!
Make sure to check out E! Entertainment for a special episode of Holly's World that was shot at Pole Position Raceway. The show is running several times a week and has brought a lot of great publicity to the sport of indoor karting. Holly Maddison, star of Peepshow that is playing at Planet Hollywood, filmed the show several weeks ago at our Las Vegas track. The young Miss Maddison was at P2R on a date with X-Games BMX rider Ricardo Laguna. The two, who have booth been to Pole Position Raceway before, raced karts and hung out for several hours. Come and race against the world's 20 fastest motorcycle hillclimbers on June 4 from 5-9pm at Pole Position Raceway in Corona. All of the top riders including Travis Whitlock, Robie and Bret Peterson, and Harold Waddell will be racing against each other and other motorcycle enthusiasts. The event is open to the public and races are only $19.95. "This is one of the most-fun events of the year for us," said former World Champion Robie Peterson. "This year promises to be the best year even, and it's a great opportunity for fans to get an opportunity to see professional racers in action. We will also be giving away free passes to the Hillclimb National at Glen Helen Raceway in San Bernardino on June 5-6, so you definitely don't want to miss out!"
Pole Position Raceway's Kurt Busch, the 2004 NASCAR Champ, has signed a five-year deal with Penske to drive the number 22 Penzoil car. Busch is one of the many real racers behind the Pole Position Raceway brand who has helped make us the number one chain of indoor kart tracks in America. Busch will turn over the #2 Miller Lite Dodge to teammate Brad Keselowski.
Former NASCAR Champ Kurt Busch along with teammates Jason Williams and Ken Faught won the hour-long team endurance race on April 13 at the all-new Pole Position Raceway in Summerlin. The team edged out 30 other drivers including former Daytona 200 motorcycle winner Miguel DuHamel who placed second. "It was a lot of fun and there were a lot of great people here tonight," said Busch, one of the people behind Pole Position Raceway. The event was covered by NBC news in Las Vegas. "This is one of my favorite race formats," said Williams. "It shows how teamwork can really pay off. The track layout in Summerlin is also new, so it really leveled the playing field.
Some of the world's fastest drag racers including Cory Mcclenathan, Morgan Lucas, and Jack Beckman along Kenny Bernstein's team visited Pole Position Raceway in Las Vegas. Our very own Jamie Little brought out the ESPN cameras for Saturday's feature broadcast, and then ESPN ran a second story on NHRA Today.
